This was an interesting and refreshing take on the telekinetic kid trope. Instead of explaining everything from the beginning, you experience and learn things when Fonda does. I was drawn in by the sense of something not being quite right from the beginning of the movie. Savannah Halliday did a wonderful job as Ellie and outshined everyone else on the cast. The rest of the actors, especially when not involved in a scene with Savannah seemed to suffer a severe lack of chemistry with each other. This made their performance feel dull in comparison.
